Vitamins are organic substances that are generally classified as either fat-soluble or water-soluble. Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) dissolve in fat and tend to accumulate in the body. Water-soluble vitamins (B and C) must dissolve in water before they can be absorbed by the body, and therefore cannot be stored. Any water-soluble vitamins unused by the body are primarily lost through urine.
Our vitamins: B-complex, niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), biotin (B7), inositol (B8), cyanocobalamin (B12), L-ascorbic acid (C), cholecalciferol (D3)
Minerals are inorganic elements present in soil and water and are absorbed by plants or consumed by animals. There are a range of minerals including sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium which are needed in moderate amounts. There are also trace minerals such as iodine, zinc, copper, chloride, phosphorous, and selenium, which are needed in very small amounts.
Our minerals: sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium chloride, zinc
Amino acids are a group of organic compounds that form the building blocks of proteins. They make up 75% of the body. Amnio acids are foundational to normal chemical reactions and are involved in nearly every bodily function including growth and development, healing, digestion, energy, hormone production, neurotransmitter production, reaction of muscles and connective tissue, and synthesis of skin. Amino acids are classified into 3 categories – essential (cannot be produced by the body and must be ingested), non-essential (naturally produced by the body), and conditional (beneficial when the body is fighting off an illness or coping with stress).
Our amnio acids: L-carnitine, choline, methionine, taurine
Antioxidants are substances that protect cells in the body from oxidation damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are molecules produced when your body breaks down food or when you are exposed to tobacco smoke or radiation. They play a role in heart disease, cancer, and other illnesses.
Our antioxidants: glutathione, NAC
Essential nutrients consist of nutrients which are required for normal physiologic function but cannot be synthesized by the body. As such, they must be obtained from a dietary source. Essential nutrients are necessary for cellular metabolic processes and for the maintenance and function of tissues and organs.
Our essential nutrients: choline
Medications are a group of pharmaceuticals which can be over the counter or require written authorization (a prescription) by a licensed medical provider. They serve a variety of purposes and are administered based upon medical need.
Our prescription medications: diphenhydramine (Benadryl), ketorolac (Toradol), ondansetron (Zofran)
